...brasileiro no Espaço

"A Russian Soyuz rocket launches three astronauts on a two-day trek to the International Space Station (ISS).
Brazil’s first astronaut and the 13th ISS crew launched spaceward on March 29, when their Russian-built Soyuz rocket and its TMA-8 spacecraft shot into orbit at 9:30 p.m. EST (0230 March 30 GMT).
Brazilian astronaut and Air Force Lt. Col. Marcos Pontes, ISS Expedition 13 commander Pavel Vinogradov and flight engineer Jeffrey Williams rode the Soyuz TMA-8 spacecraft into orbit. They are completing a two-day race to catch up to the ISS before docking at an Earth-facing berth on its Zarya control module.
Pontes will spend 10 days in space – eight of them aboard the ISS – conducting nanotechnology studies and other experiments. Vinogradov and Williams will relieve the space station’s current crew – Expedition 12 commander Bill McArthur and flight engineer Valery Tokarev – and spend six months working aboard the ISS.
McArthur, Tokarev and Pontes will return to Earth on April 8 aboard their Soyuz TMA-7 spacecraft."
Em entrevista Marcos Pontes dizia: “I am taking the Brazilian flag – the most important thing that I am taking,” he said. “Actually, I am going with the flag, not the flag going with me.”
E isto tocou-me...
